Define what a successful product must do
Two products with the same chip can behave differently because of the antenna, enclosure, personalization or application. Record the required transaction and operating conditions alongside the physical specification. The agreed product specification and quotation establish the scope of each order.
Ask for evidence that matches the product
List required material declarations, compliance documents, inspection results or traceability records in your initial enquiry. Identify the exact model, materials and destination requirements. Availability and scope must be confirmed for the selected construction.
A semiconductor datasheet describes the IC. It does not certify the finished card, label, band or disc, or establish a guaranteed read distance. Where a project requires a particular rating or test, agree the method, conditions and acceptance criteria for the finished product.
Keep your approved reference usable
Record the product model, IC order code, artwork revision and sample data format together. Identify who approves changes and how replacement serial numbers are handled. This gives procurement, production and the system integrator the same reference for future orders.
Can I approve printing separately from encoding?
Yes. Treat artwork and electronic personalization as separate approval items. A correct printed proof does not verify chip data, and a successful chip read does not verify the printed artwork.
How do I request test or compliance documents?
Name the required document or test, the finished product configuration and the intended market in your enquiry. Ask Roxtron to confirm the available evidence and any additional work before the order is agreed.
Are sample cost and lead time fixed across the catalog?
No. They depend on the product, IC, customization, quantity and delivery requirements. Request a quotation for the complete configuration, including sample availability, cost and shipping.
